La grazia perduta

the lost grace

GRACE, a word that encompasses various meanings, forgiveness, beauty, elegance, gift, gratitude, peace…

Does “grace” exist today? Let’s make a comparison with the past, history, up to modern times. One of the forms of human expression that represents Grace is found in art, in music, in that capacity that is uniquely “human” to create something harmonious, which represents our inner feelings and how we see the world. Countless are the works of the past that have represented the growth of man, ingenuity, creativity, love, and Italy from this point of view has always been an excellence. Since ancient times, man has always distinguished himself from animals by this gift, the ability to express his feelings through forms of expression that went beyond words. But in this evolution of his, it seems that something went wrong, that it did not follow a natural order of growth, transforming the “grace” of this expression into something “cold” incapable of warming, of generating positive feelings. With its “growth”, man instead of getting closer to the truth of his existence, has moved further away, deceived by a false evolution that has never served the interests of human nature and its existence, leading him to a total detachment from his origins, losing the “spirit” that has always nourished the good works of man.

Today we have reached a point where “grace” has been replaced by materialism, idolatry, by the golden calves that are proposed to us every day, but which actually conceal a profound inner malaise, from a spirit that screams its chained malaise by our perseverance in not wanting to recognize the need to live through “grace”.

Jesus says:

“Given the stubborn replies of some to these luminous points of my teaching – which should open up many horizons for you and help your souls, and those entrusted to you, to strive for this joy that is the memory, the knowledge, the re-cognition of what God is, and to enjoy a little of Heaven on Earth, and to receive from this a great help to progress in perfection – let us treat the subject as if we were faced with stubborn children to whom we must not tire of teaching and with arguments that cannot be rejected.

What is man? The Catechism says: “He is a rational creature composed of soul and body”.What is the soul? The Catechism says: “It is the noblest part of man because it is a spiritual substance endowed with intellect and will, capable of knowing God and possessing Him eternally”.Who created man? The Catechism says: “God created him”.

Why did He create him? The Catechism says: “So that man may know, love, and serve Him in this life, and enjoy Him forever in the next”.

How did He create him? Genesis, ch. II v. 7, says: “And the Lord God formed man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul”. And in Genesis I, v. 27, it is said: “God created man in his own image”. The Catechism confirms: “Man was created in the image and likeness of God”.And how? In the face perhaps? In the form of the body? God has no body or face. I, to become man, had to take on your form because I did not have a bodily form of my own. God is the most perfect Spirit, simple, eternal, without beginning or end. The Catechism therefore teaches that: “Man is said to have been created in the image and likeness of God, because the human soul is spiritual and rational, free in its actions, capable of knowing and loving God, and of enjoying Him eternally, perfections that reflect in man a ray of the infinite greatness of the Lord”.A ray of the infinite greatness of the Lord. Great truth, since only We, One and Triune, know ourselves and enjoy ourselves with full joy by generating for this joyful love that is the knowledge of our most perfect Perfection. And We wanted you to have Us as an example to create in you the divinized creature who is the son of God. For this reason, We have placed in you the Love that is our Essence and have proposed Love to you as the term of Perfection to reach to be with Us without end, just as you were in Us before the Creation, when We contemplated you, before you came out of nothing, to be, according to our will, the creature in which God is reflected, who divinely conceived it for His glory. Now in God there can be nothing that is not of God. Therefore, man belongs to God who can, with full justice, call Him Father, and who must, with due justice, desire to reach and possess Him after striving to love and know Him.

Blessed are those who know how to ascend to the highest beatitude, which is union with God, that is, knowledge of God, that is, fusion with Love, contemplation of the Trinity that is One, of the Fire that does not consume but recreates and supercreates, making the human creature what Love thought: a god, a son of God. Truly the Father has placed the seal of His own paternity in His son: the capacity to know and love God, both in this life and in the next.

Therefore God created man composed of two substances, one called body, initially created with mud and subsequently procreated with the flesh and blood of man, and one called soul, which, created time and time again by God, and for one time and one flesh, descends to unite with the flesh formed in a womb. Without the soul, man would be an animal creature guided by instinct and natural qualities. Without the body, man would be a spiritual creature with supernatural qualities of intelligence, will, and grace like the angels.

To the masterpiece of creation, represented by man, in whom the two creatures, animal and spiritual, are united to form one unity, what had God given in addition to existence? Gratuitous gifts that theologians divide into natural, preternatural, and supernatural.Natural: the healthy and beautiful body with five perfect senses and the reasonable soul endowed with intelligence, will, and freedom.

Preternatural: integrity, meaning perfect subjection of the senses, free from all kinds of impulses, to reason; immortality of the body that would not have known the horror of death; immunity from every pain; and knowledge proportionate to its state of chosen creature, and therefore great knowledge that the perfect intellect assimilated effortlessly.Supernatural: the beatific vision of God, the Grace that makes man a son of God, and the destiny to eternally enjoy God. Thus man, both by origin and by the gifts received, could truly be called “son of God” and know Him as a son knows his own father.

What is Grace? The Catechism says: “Grace is a supernatural gift that illuminates the mind, moves and comforts the will so that man may do good and refrain from evil.” But above all, it is love. It is God’s love for His favorite creature, man, love that elevates the creature to the nature of the Creator by deifying it, hence the just word of Wisdom: “You are gods and sons of the Most High.” It is also a means of salvation, since man needs means of salvation having remained weak due to the consequences of sin. Activating beyond measure, when it finds no impediment or inertia in you to the work it wants to accomplish in you, it sanctifies the creature and the actions of the creature, and has three lesser branches, from its sublime trunk, called actual, sufficient, and efficacious grace. But it is one Grace: a transforming principle, a divine quality inherent in the soul, similar to light whose radiance, enveloping and penetrating the souls, erases the stains of guilt and communicates to them a radiant beauty.                                                                              So the Church teaches in the conclusions of the Council of Trent. And I, Master of masters, contemplating Grace for what it is, in the eternal “is” of God, say that Grace is the transforming principle of the creature into a son of God, therefore a divine quality similar to the Light from which it comes, whose radiance enveloping and penetrating the souls, whether it is a gift given (as to Adam) or a gift restored (as for Catholic Christians reinstated in Grace through the merits of my Sacrifice and the Sacrament instituted by Me), communicates to them not only a radiant beauty but the ability to see and know God, just as the First Man knew and understood Him with his spirit full of innocence and Grace.

Grace is therefore the restoration of man to the ability to love and know God. Grace is therefore light to see what is an Immense Darkness to man’s thought but Infinite Light for the spirit in grace, it is therefore a voice, and a most wise voice, it is sight, a most luminous sight to contemplate God, it is a gift given to help the soul’s desire to know God, it is a means to remember the Origin as it desires to be remembered, it is an instrument of the deification of the creature. And the more the creature, by its own will and by the justice attained by the will of love, grows in Grace, the more it will grow in what is union with the Divine, and it will grow in wisdom, which is one of the divine attributes, and with wisdom the ability to understand, know, love the Truth and the truths. Because Grace is the Spirit of God that enters into man with all its gifts, transforming, elevating, sanctifying the powers and actions of man. And among these, first and foremost, love. An action for which you were created.

To love is to know. One only loves whom one knows. The more one loves, the more one knows. No one could claim to love an unknown relative, or a man living on the other side of the world, as one loves the relative nearby or the friend at home. Their love for this will not go beyond an abstract feeling of brotherhood or kinship, which does not give joy if it lasts, and does not cause pain if it ceases. While the loss of a well-known relative or a friend is indeed true pain. And when it happens, one tries to preserve every memory of them to feel the loss less keenly or, if it is only distance, in every way tries to make it less absolute to feel the distance less heavy. Look at children who have become orphans in their childhood, observe how anxiously they seek to reconstruct an ideal image of the deceased parent with the memories left by them or gathered from the lips of relatives and friends. The creature needs to love, and to feel less alone and to love, they must remember. Memory is like a chain that binds to the beloved, thrown into distances. Its end cannot be seen, but the movements felt coming through the loving chain of mutual remembrance say that one is loved as one loves. For this reason, God gave the first humans the knowledge of Himself. So that they could be perfectly happy in the period of Grace and Joy, and afterward have a memory that would still unite them to the Father, hidden behind the mists of sin, raised like a wall between the fallen and Perfection, but not definitively lost because the love endured. Adam and Eve knew God, they had the spiritual beatific vision of Him, and they understood His Essence because their spirits, I say spirits, in Grace could fixate on His incorporeal and supreme Beauty and understand His Wisdom in God’s voice “in the cool of the evening”.

Oh! Sweet conversations, raptures of deified creatures with God their Creator, in the peace of the earthly paradise, divine teachings learned effortlessly by two intellects without blemish of physical imperfections or moral imperfections, accepted without those stubbornnesses that make it difficult for you to accept divine lessons, because you no longer know how to love like the Innocents, or poor men mutilated by too many holy things and filled with too many other useless and harmful things, poor men who could return to perfection if they possessed a perfect love!

Oh lessons of God, wisdom flowing from the paternal Source to the blessed children, received as a gift, loved as a feast, reciprocal love that was word, that was a question anticipated by the answer, that was trust, that was a smile, that was peace! A page of joy forever destroyed, a page written in the books of life and at the beginnings of life and then sullied, and no longer continued, by the indelible imprint of Sin, who can read you to the living in exile so that they understand what they have lost and be humble? Humble by considering how much they have fallen, considering how good God is in still giving so much love and wisdom, despite the serpentine head of pride always ready to rear up in them to argue with God who reveals, advises, or commands for good purpose.

Adam and Eve, therefore, had the gift of Grace which is love, light, wisdom, knowledge of God, and this gift, being they both private and public men, being the progenitors of the whole human family, would have been transmitted by them together with other gifts to their descendants and there would have been no need for them to labor to remember God, to laboriously ascend from darkness toward Light, struggling with the weight of Evil, against the current of temptations, against the mists of ignorance, against all the misery that came from the fall from Grace. There would have been no need for remembrance because there would have been no need to remember the lost Good, but only the joyous enjoyment of the Beloved.

Then Adam and Eve sinned, and God cast them from His presence and excluded them from His friendship and from Eden “placing Cherubim at the east of it” says Genesis, and condemning Humanity to work, to pain, to ignorance, to death for the material part, to the deprivation of Grace, the knowledge of God, and the heavenly Paradise for the spiritual part. The Catechism says: “Adam and Eve lost the Grace of God and the right they had to Heaven, they were cast out of the earthly paradise, subjected to many miseries in soul and body, and condemned to die” and “their descendants inherited the damages of the deprivation of grace, the loss of paradise, ignorance, the inclination to evil, all the miseries of life, and finally death”, so that “if God had not used mercy, men could no longer have saved themselves”.What was the mercy used by God toward the human race? Genesis answers again with its pages and the Catechism with its responses: “The mercy to promise immediately to Adam the divine Redeemer or Messiah, and to send Him in His time to liberate men from the slavery of the demon and sin, reintegrating them in the state of children of God with the restitution of the state of Grace” by my merits and my Passion. So tell me: if at the very moment of the condemnation, God the Father already tempers it in its severity with the hope of a Redeemer, with the promise of forgiveness, does this not show that He Himself, always Mercy even in Justice because eternal and perfect Charity, wanted that in the soul of man enveloped in darkness and pain there would remain sparks of light – memories – that prevented despair, dejection, abandonment, the languor of those who no longer have an end and drag their days without the vigor of hopes? Yes, indeed, it was so.

And summarizing the statement thus far, taken from Genesis – a book written under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, and therefore having God as its author, as defined by the Vatican Council – and from the Catechism in the text prescribed by my true Vicar and Shepherd who is now with me in Heaven after having loved me perfectly and therefore remembered perfectly on Earth – a truth that no one can reject without declaring themselves heretical – it can be concluded that the innocent man, in grace, had the gift of grace to know God, love Him, and enjoy Him eternally, and that the fallen man had the gift of mercy of a promise, and therefore a memory of the Divine, to help him to act well so that, in a certain future, he could enjoy, after the pain of punishment, the sight and possession of God.And now, after having dealt with the subject in general, let us descend to treat it in the points that you cannot, or rather do not want to accept, in the dictations of the Pre-Gospel of the days 24 – 29 – 30 August 1944 and 2 September 1944 (Infancy of M. Ss.).

I dictated on September 2, 1944: “These are mysteries that are too high for you to fully understand.” Especially the learned cannot understand them. Those simple of heart, who are instructed only by Love and Wisdom, understand them better because they do not argue about them. For them, a supernatural word that communicates peace is a certain word, and they accept it with humility and gratitude. But I repeat: there are mysteries that cannot be understood if they are dissected based on a human analytical method. Either you must have great faith and burning charity, and then they become sufficiently clear, or you do not understand them. But I advise you to at least accept the insights that I give you to make your knowledge less incomplete. Always remember that even the most learned man is always too small and finite compared to the Infinite and the Wisdom of the Infinite. And I also advise you not to alter my words, nor to distort their meaning to cause pain to the spokesman. It is not charity to grieve your brothers and accuse the innocent. You want to know how it was said that souls preexist. Where did you find that word that I did not speak? In the depths of your thought, not in my pages. Souls do not preexist. They are not objects piled up in deposits to be taken at the right moment. God does not need reserves to have substances ready.

In the dictation of August 24, 1944 I say to little John: “You have seen the continuous generation of souls from God.” I used that word to give you all the feeling that man is a son of God since it is the father who generates, and also to make you understand the beauty of the part in you that is similar to God. There is nothing in God that is not God. Therefore, your souls, coming from God, are supernaturally divinized by Origin and by Grace, which in believers in the true God and in Christ the Redeemer is infused through Holy Baptism and preserved by fleeing from sin.If I was already illuminating the end by showing the beginning which is the heavenly life of possessing God, if I did it while showing the beginning – the creation of the soul by God’s work, to incarnate in flesh and sanctify in existence to be victorious in Heaven – then it should have been understood by you, for you are not fools, but learned, and you value this knowledge. Understand, therefore, with good will, the thought of your Lord, which is clear and understandable to all those who have the will to understand it. And what? Would you be like those who accused me, in my mortal time, and still accuse me, because I say it is preferable to do violence to oneself by plucking out the eye that sins, or the hand, or the foot, rather than preserving them and sinning? Do you not understand the metaphor then? Do you not know how to transport a material comparison to the spiritual? Well, if you are so limited, I provide by replacing the word “generation” with the other of “creation” (p. 13 Pre-Gospel).I had given the spokesman the vision of the creation of souls. Read the vision described by the spokesman (folder s. t. p. 63, 25-5-44). A vision that, as I say further on (31-5-44, folder X Y pag. 794-796), was given in this way to make the creative, immaterial operation visible to the seer. Describing this vision, the spokesperson uses the word “create” (line 30ª p. 63 of the subject matter) as well as stating, truthfully and simply, that “she does not see, being in Paradise – the conclusion of the visionary is exactly right – when the stain of original sin dirties souls.” Indeed, in Paradise, this cannot happen. From this, you see how truthful the spokesperson is. Furthermore, they declare that “she does not see the spirits who, their time on Earth ended, separate from the flesh and return to be judged.” Mary says that she “understands how they are judged from the changes in Jesus’ expression” (line 74ª of the same page).Returning to the Origin, presenting oneself to the Judge G., does not mean going to a specific place, nor exactly going to the foot of the eternal throne. These are formulas used to help your thought. The soul that leaves the flesh it animated finds itself immediately in front of the Divinity that judges it, without the need to ascend and present itself at the threshold of the blessed Kingdom. It is catechism that God is in Heaven, on Earth, and in every place. And thus, the encounter happens everywhere. The Divinity fills the Created with Itself. It is, therefore, present in every place of the Created. I am the one who judges. But I am inseparable from the Father and the Holy Spirit, omnipresent in every place. The judgment is as swift as the creation was swift: less than a thousandth of your smallest unit of time. But just as in the atom of the creative moment the soul has time to glimpse the Holy Origin that creates it and to carry with it the memory so that it may be instinctive religion and guide in the search for faith, hope, and charity, which, if you observe well, are, nebulously, like shapeless seeds, even in the most imperfect religions — faith in a deity, hope in a reward given by this deity, love for this deity — so too in the atom of the moment of particular judgment the spirit has time to understand what it did not want to understand in earthly life, and hated as an enemy or mocked or denied as a vain tale, or even served with lukewarmness that demands reparation, and to carry with it, to the place of expiation or eternal damnation, the memory, to kindle flames of love for eternal Beauty, or torture of punishment with the torment of the Good lost that the intelligent conscience will reproach for having freely wished to lose. Because they will remember it, and terrible, unable to contemplate it, along with their sins. The creation of the soul and the particular judgment are the two atoms of moments in which the souls of the children of man intellectually know God to the extent that is just and sufficient to give them an impetus to strive for their glimpsed Good, but which remains impressed in the substance that, being intelligent, free, simple, spiritual, has ready understandings, free wills, simple desires, and movement or inclination or appetite, if you prefer, to reunite with love for the One from whom it came, and to reach its end of which it has already intuited the beauty, or to detach from it with a perfect hatred, reaching the one who is their damned king, and having in the memory “of hatred” a torment, the greatest among infernal torments, an indescribable despair, a curse (remember dictated 15-1-44). “The ‘be perfect as the Father’ that I spoke, was not a vain or exaggerated word. Man was about to be elevated once again to the state of Grace. I could therefore, with full right, give this command of perfection. Because for perfection you were created. And this desire of the righteous for perfection is a spiritual desire coming directly from God, which comes to give you the command: ‘Walk before me and be blameless’ (Genesis 17:1). And, broader though implicit, it repeats in the laws of Sinai, and in the lessons of the Wise, and in the words of the patriarchs, the prophets, all the inspired ones, in whom I am speaking. It is finally, as direct and explicit as it can be, in my command: ‘Be perfect as your Father in heaven is perfect.’ And, like an echo of my eternal Word, it is in the words of my Saints, from Peter onwards. ‘Be perfect,’ I said. To free the spirit of the ancients from that anxious sense of fear that forbade them to think they could be worthy of resembling their Father. For too many centuries the Most High was for them the fearsome God, and love and hope and faith trembled before the stern Immensity of God. But now was the time of Mercy, of Forgiveness, of Peace, of Friendship, of sonship with God. Therefore, here is the command of unlimited perfection: ‘Be perfect as your Father.’ And with the command, the implicit assurance that encourages daring, ‘for, if you only will it, you can become it.’God does not do or say vain acts or words. Therefore, I have not given a vain command, nor have I made a vain stimulus to your hearts with this command. I have awakened a desire that had weakened, which my Father and yours had placed alive in the spirit of Man, and which Man would transmit, along with every other gift of God, to his descendants: the desire to possess God, to enjoy Him in Heaven after a life spent in His service. This desire, vividly awakened, would have been in vain if it were not meant to be transformed into reality.” But creatures can reach this reality. Indeed, it is God’s desire that they do. And that is why God leaves in the soul, even of the wildest, a memory of God so that that soul, as best it can, may in a future more or less distant reach its goal: the knowledge of God, which is bliss, for having loved and served Him as it knew in order to then possess Him.                                                                “But if the majority of souls live in a way that seems to contradict my assertion, this is not a denial of what I say, but a demonstration of how perverted man is in his affections and desires, due to his alliances with Evil. Indeed, there are many who strangle their souls with the noose of vices and sins after having made it a slave to Satan with whom they have allied. They strangle it definitively so as not to hear it scream and cry anymore, remembering that Evil is not lawful and that there is a punishment for those who commit it. These are the ones who, from being children of God, become creature-men due to the loss of Grace, and from men they then become demons, for man separated from Goodness is a vile thing that clings, to support itself, to Evil. Where there is no supernatural law, it is hardly, and always imperfectly, moral law. And where human morality is imperfect or absent, there lives, in whole or in part, the triple concupiscence. But if the majority of souls seem to deny with their way of acting the natural memory and desire for God and their will, which is to tend towards a goal of joy, it must be remembered that in man there is the carnal creature and the spiritual creature, and man has free will, which always serves the stronger part. Now, if one weakens his soul with vices and sins, it is certain that it will become weak while the animal part will strengthen, overpowering the weaker part until it kills it. But this does not mean that the soul is not created with the capacity to naturally remember and desire its end. The nature of the soul is spiritual nature. Therefore, the soul has spiritual desires even if, due to the deprivation of Grace (those who are not regenerated by Baptism), it only has natural desires for the spiritual kingdom from which it comes and where it instinctively feels the supreme Spirit to be. In souls, then, regenerated to Grace by Baptism and maintained and strengthened in it by the other Sacraments, the attraction of the soul to its end occurs divinely because Grace, which is still God, draws its beloved children to Itself, ever closer, ever into the light, step by step they ascend in spirituality, so that the separation decreases and the seeing is more vivid, the knowing broader, the understanding wider, the loving more perfect, until they reach contemplation which is already fusion and union of the creature with its Creator, a temporary but indelible and transforming act, because the Fiery embrace of Divinity closing upon its enraptured creature impresses a new character upon these living beings, who are already separated from Humanity and spiritualized into seraphim, learned in the Wisdom that God gives them, giving Himself to them as they give themselves to Him.For this reason, it is right to define that the inspired writer “has God as author.” God who reveals or illuminates mysteries or truths, as He pleases, to these instruments “stirring and moving them with supernatural virtues, assisting them in writing so that they conceive rightly with intelligence and faithfully want to write, and express with suitable means and with infallible truth all and only those things commanded by Him, God.” It is God who with triple action enlightens the intellect so that it knows the truth without error, or with revelation for truths still unknown, or with exact recollection if they are truths already established but still somewhat incomprehensible to human reason; He moves so that it is written faithfully as the inspired one comes to know supernaturally; He assists and directs so that the truths are spoken, in the form and number that God desires, with truth and clarity, so that they are known to others for the good of many, with the same divine word in direct teachings, or with the words of the inspired one in describing visions or repeating supernatural lessons. The work that is given to men through the little John is not a canonical book. But it is always an inspired book, which I give to help you understand certain passages of the canonical ones and especially to understand what was my time as Master and to know me: I, the Word, in my words. Neither I, nor the spokesperson, who due to his absolute ignorance in this branch doesn’t even know how to distinguish dogmatic theology from mystical or ascetic, nor knows subtleties of definitions, nor conclusions of Councils, but knows to love and obey — and this is enough for me and nothing else do I want from the spokesperson — neither I nor he say that the Work is a canonical book. Truly, however, I tell you that it is an inspired book, since the instrument is not capable of writing pages it does not even understand unless I myself explain them to remove its fear. “Yet, since in the hours when he is “spokesperson” — that is, when he is taken by Me as by a divine Eagle who carries him into the kingdom of Light so that he may see and return among you bearing gems of supernatural value — little John is in the wise truth of seeing and understanding, he uses the word “create” to speak of the forming of souls by God’s will (folio s.t. p. 63). I, I repeat, had used the word “generation” in the dictation to give you the measure of your dignity as children of God. But, I also repeat this, if this causes you difficulty in believing, then substitute “generation” with “creation” and have peace for this nothingness that makes you shadowed. Continually creating, on the part of the Father, souls, does not mean “preexisting” as you say, by saying that I said it. And remembering on the part of souls does not mean “preexisting” either. But it cannot be denied that, because the creative moment is very rapid, the soul, an intelligent spiritual substance created by the Most Perfect, cannot form itself wise of its origin. God the Creator, who has given a relative reason to inferior creatures, and a very vast one to human creatures, and a most ready intelligence as well as vast to angelic creatures, would He not have given a ready and vast intelligence to the created soul? Is it not created by Him like the angels, men, and animals? Will it then be alone – this flame daughter of Fire – darkness and cold? Will it alone be dull, foolish, blind, deaf, forgetful, brutish to the point of not even possessing those rudimentary instincts that drive animals to choose foods and elements and climates conducive to living and procreating? Inferior even to plants, which sense that life is in the sun and which, even when planted in a dark place, stretch towards the hole from which light descends and emerge from there to live? Oh, men! And yet to deny, to give pain to my spokesperson, can you come to say that the soul is inferior to plants? The soul: this marvelous substance that I have called with sublime metaphor “spiritual blood of eternal, powerful, holy God”, the blood of the Father (I speak in metaphor, I repeat) that is alive in you and makes you immortal, powerful, holy as long as it is alive, that is, as long as it is united to God with Charity. The soul: this part of Heaven – and Heaven is Light and Wisdom – that is contained within you so that the Infinite may have in you a throne that is still Heaven, and that contains you so that the sanctifying embrace of Heaven may still be protective around your humanity struggling its good battle.

Do you object perhaps that it does not have the intact intelligence of the first soul because it is stained and diminished by the Original Sin? I answer you first of all that nothing impure comes out of the creating Thought. The Original Sin is in man and in the children of man, not in God. Therefore, not in being created by God, but in being incarnated in man conceived by man the soul contracts the inheritance connected to the descendants of Adam, except for the case of an exceptional, unique will of God. Secondly, I remind you that the most impure being, he who was Lucifer and who is now Satan, has not lost his powerful intelligence because from archangel he became a demon, but he uses his acute intelligence in evil instead of in good as he would have used it if he had remained an archangel. So what do you reply if I ask you why Satan remembers God and is intelligent? Do you have reasons to oppose my assertion? Do you have objections? No. You cannot object anything. Because either deny what you teach, or admit that Satan is intelligent and remembers God, so much so that he hates Him as he hates Him precisely because he remembers Him as he remembers Him, with the power of his spiritual intellect, and torments you as he torments you precisely because he is keen in choosing the ways to make you fall according to your ego. The Catechism defines that the guilty angels were excluded from Paradise and condemned to Hell, but there is no definition about the loss of intelligence in demons because the fact that their intelligence subsists is demonstrated by the acuteness of their operations to harm you.Souls remember. Why? Because, just as God to temper the severity of the condemnation simultaneously gave Adam the hope of redemption, and of that redemption, similarly He left him with the memory of the blessed time so that it may assist him in the pain of exile, and be a holy stimulus to the children of Adam to love the One who for them was the Unknown. Not only that, but in creating the souls, for these children of man, God did not deprive them of that natural inclination towards Divinity which alone can help them reach the purpose for which man was created: to love the Lord, the almighty and omnipresent God whose Incorporeal All fills the infinite and whom man feels, more or less rightly, and sees to be in everything that surrounds him, penetrates, or strikes.” “Yet, in savages it will be in the roar of thunder or in the long shine of the aurora borealis; for idolaters it will be in the power of the lion or in the amphibious life of the caiman; for believers in revealed but imperfect religions, in supposed natural manifestations as actions and manifestations of individual gods; in the civilized man, thinker or scientist, in the phenomena of the sky or in the marvelous organism of bodies; in the believer, not only in doctrine, but in the very life of the soul that manifests itself with its lights and with its throbs of response to other more ardent throbs of an eternal Love that loves it, in the wonder of being born and in the mystery of dying, one part of the human, and the other living a truer life; but all and in everything man feels an invisible and powerful Presence, whether he denies it — and in denying it already admits that it exists, because one does not deny what is and what is believed by many others — whether he hates it, confessing with the hatred that It is, whether he loves it, proclaiming with love that It is believed to be real and hoped to be able to not only believe it one day but to enjoy it. God has done this: He has left in man the inclination to the supreme Good. And what is this if not memory? And what do you think? that He could not do it, He who is omnipotent and who, effortlessly or without effort, has been ruling the Creation for millennia, and without a moment of pause creates souls, judges souls, knows all their actions simultaneously, foreknows them, since the Past, the Present, the Future are a single “is” before His Thought, follows them in their unfolding, judges them without confusion and errors, and judges the souls that, at His command, leave the flesh to which they were sent and return to the otherworldly world either supercreated, recreated, or, should I say, destroyed by the free will of choice? But this word, for you who always grasp the material sense of words and not their spirit, would make you cry out in anathema. I will then say: ugly, dirty, mutilated and eviscerated for having voluntarily erased the memory of the Divine. Because it is above all this memory, more than any lesson that can be learned in schools of every kind, that instructs the soul to pursue virtues for love of its own God and in the hope of possessing Him one day, beyond life, in the Endless Life. Truly, among the many gifts that Love has preserved for fallen man, this is the highest and most active. I speak of souls in general, not of those of Catholic Christians, members of the Mystical Body, vivified by Grace which is the gift of gifts. This natural inclination to the supreme Good, which is the spiritual memory of God, sometimes so subtle that the other two parts of man do not perceive it, although they are guided by it to think and directed in their actions, is a stimulus to the search for Divinity, to acting to be worthy of It, to living in a way that leads to being reunited with It. For this, souls create for themselves, if they do not already possess it, a religion that may be erroneous due to ignorance of the True, but that is always love for divinity, that is, response to the purpose for which man was created: to love and serve God on Earth and to enjoy Him, immediately and completely or after a longer or shorter time, for eternity. Memory creates love. Love, justice. The justice of the creature generates a greater love for it from God. And knowledge becomes clearer and clearer, the more love and justice increase in the creature. So, with love, the memory of God always grows more, because, as I have said, memory is knowledge of love, and where there is love there is God. And what do you say when I ask you why Satan remembers God and is intelligent? Do you have any objections to my assertion? Do you have anything to object? No. You cannot object to anything. Because either you deny what you teach, or you admit that Satan is intelligent and remembers God, so much so that he hates Him just as he hates Him precisely because he remembers Him as he remembers Him, with the power of his spiritual intellect, and he torments you just as he torments you precisely because he is acute in choosing the ways to make you fall according to your ego. The Catechism defines that guilty angels were excluded from Paradise and condemned to Hell, but there is no definition about the loss of intelligence in demons because their intelligence exists, as shown by the acuteness of their operations to harm you. Souls remember. Why? Because, just as God in tempering the severity of the condemnation also gave Adam the hope of redemption, and of that redemption, similarly He left him the memory of the blessed time so that it would assist him in the pain of exile, and a holy stimulus to the sons of Adam to love the One who for them was the Unknown. Not only that, but in creating souls, for these children of man, God did not deprive them of that natural inclination towards Divinity that by itself alone can help them reach the purpose for which man was created: to love the Lord, the almighty and omnipresent God whose intangible All fills the infinite and which man feels, more or less rightly, and sees that it is in everything around him, penetrates or strikes.

Knowing God and “conversing with Him” in the intimate Eden is already to see and foresee. Because God has not changed over the millennia, and His teachings to His chosen ones are vast, full, luminous, like those given to the two innocents who were naked and felt no shame, because they knew only the poor sciences of matter but solely the sublime wisdom of love.

And after this, can you still challenge, as if they were errors, the words written by the instrument? I do not even contemplate the case that you might consider them errors of the Master or fail to recognize, from the abundance and wisdom of the gift, who is the One who dictates them. After this, can you still challenge, as if it were an error of the instrument, the truth that souls have a memory of God, all the more vivid the more the soul evolves in justice, most vivid when the justice of the creature is joined by the state of grace, that is, of sonship from God, most perfect when, as in the case of the Most Holy Mary, there is the eternal virginity of the spirit untouched by Sin and there is the fullness of Grace, absolute innocence, possession of Wisdom, perfect charity? So perfect in the Most Holy Mary as no other creature will ever have.

What do you say then, Servants of my Mother, who is the Most Holy Mary to you? The new Eve who knows God as the ancient one did? No. More than Eve. Because, besides being the Innocent, Daughter, Spouse, Mother of God, so contemplated by God from eternity, She is the Lamb at the side of the Lamb, the Victim, consumed with the divine Host to make of you “knowers of God.”

And now reread, stripping your minds of the “fig leaf garments” that you have sewn around your intellects and that intercept your sight, reread where it speaks of memory, of knowledge, of sweet conversations of the Trine Unity gathered in the Immaculate Heart of the Full of Grace with her adoring soul. Reread where I speak of the operations of Grace which is Light and Wisdom and which increasingly illuminates the memory of God, and, united with justice, makes memory a more and more perfect knowledge, sometimes precocious, always holy, in the spirit of the saints. And then pray that in your understanding a new Pentecost may occur, and all the gifts of the Spirit, the Teacher of all truth, may enter to renew you, to rekindle in you that divine likeness which is supernatural love with the supernatural Beauty, without which union and likeness and understanding are impossible. On your knees, with the humble spirit of the humble, before Him who speaks to you because He has pity on you, shepherds, and on the lambs, and takes a “nothing” precisely because He is such and because He loves to repeat the gesture made before the concupiscent humanity of the Twelve, to confound with His divine Wisdom the poor human science of the learned who linger to count the threads of tassels, dusty for being closer to the ground than to heaven, and abandon, for this useless and pedantic work, to gather and preserve the luminous pearls which form the context of the work. For those who might not understand the metaphor, the useless waste of time and the even more useless displays of human knowledge used to establish whether the capacity of a place or the number of its inhabitants, deduced from human works and much later than my time, are true, correspond to what is asserted by an instrument, or whether the era and the permanence in a place that it mentions, always compared according to a measure that men have given themselves, correspond to the thousandth fraction of time that they consider perfect. But tell me! Is it the number of days, the vastness of a country, the sum of its inhabitants that interests you, or is it the doctrine of the work? In the first case, a thousand and a thousand human authors can give you abundant pasture. In the second, only I can give you what should be sought in the first place. Because only what I give you serves you for eternal life. The rest is hay that, after being digested, is expelled and becomes refuse. You will not enter Heaven to know how many days one was in a place or how many citizens were in a city, but to be perfected there by drawing luminous life from the Word which is Life and Light.

Love Me more than science. Bless Me and not your knowledge. And also love the “child” that I have taken to place among you. And with Me bless the Father, Lord of Heaven and Earth, for once again revealing Himself to a little one instead of revealing Himself to the wise. A little one, a child, a nothing. Yes. But a nothing consumed by the desire to serve and love God and to make Him known, a nothing that has awakened in itself ever more vividly the memory of God, a nothing that has consumed with its love and its voluntary holocaust the diaphragms of humanity, a nothing that has come to love the Light more than existence and honors, a nothing that has so submerged itself in the absolute freedom of contemplating only God to the point of losing sight of everything that is not God, a nothing dead to all that for most is anxiety of life, but alive eternally because dead to live in the Lord.

God, I tell you, reveals His kingdom not to the learned, but to those who are illuminated by grace and living in love, and it is only God who chooses, takes, and places on the summit of the mountain, there where Heaven is so close that the spirit can cry out, burning, what should be the cry of every man: “Behold my God. I see Him! I understand Him! I know Him! I am devoured and recreated by Love.”                                Little John, you can also remind them that man has a guardian angel and that this spirit is not inert near the man upon whom he reflects the lights that he, the angel, mirrors by adoring the infinite Light. Be in peace, my soul.”
